Think about this for a second. You follow everything you’re interested in. Health, fitness, philosophy, pets, politics, world news, etc. Now every time you see a social media post on one of those things it brings up thoughts whether you realize it or not. We are exposed to issues on a regular basis. Someone dying, an earthquake in a different country. You see someone on Facebook has a relative that is terminally ill or is missing. There are so many variables and we see these everyday. Now every time you see this thoughts might pop up, how do I fix this, how does this affect me, what can I do. All of a sudden all of these problems that 2 minuets ago you wouldn’t have known about and if you scrolled by it still would not even know existed now becomes your problem. You make it your problems by reading it.

We now getting overstimulated with problems. I need to perfect wardrobe, I need the perfect diet. Social media is making us insane. We have way more problems than we need or can even handle. Instead of focusing on our own issues like cleaning our house or dealing with our own personal relationships we’re worrying about peoples relationships on reality TV instead.

All I’m suggesting is that my taking a break or completely removing social media you are potentially removing unnecessary issues from your life. Instead of 100 problems that you are exposed to on a daily basis you might be able to cut it down to 10 that are just your problems. With this we can have more focus and tackle our problems before they become a bigger issue. I feel by doing this we can eliminate some anxiety in our lives and actually deal with our problems rather than masking them it’s other problems.
